The Tigers Milk Winters Classic is being hosted again at the iconic Muizenberg corner over 8 to 10 June. It includes a number of events for veteran men and women; senior men and women and u/23 men and women offering a total price value of R62000 and features top international and local surfers.

As part of the Tiger’s Milk Winter Classic surf competition, Tiger’s Milk sponsors a Surfing South Africa (SSA) outreach initiative, giving 60 underprivileged kids from the Muizenberg area a chance to surf and compete. Mainly, we want the kids to enjoy the day!

This initiative is coordinated by SSA Development Officer, Danielle Johnson, and takes place at Surfers Corner from 10am to 1pm on Sunday, June 10th.

About 60 young surfers take part, and they all come from various community based outreach programmes that use surfing to change the lives of marginalised youth. A ‘Tag Team’ format sees groups of five boys and girls surfing together as teams. In this way, organisers ensure that every participant plays a role in the project.
