It looks like one of the scariest games ever made might be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox.
Bloober Team's Silent Hill 2 remake launched exclusively for PS5 and PC in October 2024.
However, according to a post on Reddit, Bloober Team has added room for two more platform slots on the Silent Hill 2 remake website. This would suggest the game is coming to more platforms after a year of console exclusivity on PS5.
It's been speculated that the two new slots are for Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 versions, which could be announced in the coming days.
The game launched on October 8, so the timeline definitely works.
Last year's Silent Hill 2 remake benefits from enhanced visuals and sound, as well as various other quality of life improvements.
It also adopts the popular over-the-shoulder gameplay style popularised by fellow survival horror games like Resident Evil 4.
Indeed, the combat system has been updated with new moves such as the ability to dodge attacks and aim down sights.
While Bloober Team has been keen to retain the spirit of the original and not change too much, fans can also explore new locations and buildings that were previously inaccessible.
Speaking of Silent Hill, Konami recently launched a brand new game in the series, titled Silent Hill f.
Silent Hill f features the same psychological horror as the classic games in the series, albeit in a new setting.
"In 1960s Japan, Shimizu Hinako's secluded town of Ebisugaoka is consumed by a sudden fog, transforming her home into a haunting nightmare," reads the official description.
"As the town falls silent and the fog thickens, Hinako must navigate the twisted paths of Ebisugaoka, solving complex puzzles and confronting grotesque monsters to survive."
The game has been well received by critics, earning an impressive 86% score on Metacritic.
