The Men in Heels Walk-a-Thon is back for its fourth edition, calling on men to “strut their stuff for a cause” in support of breast cancer awareness. This vibrant and empowering event will take place on Saturday, 11 October 2025, at Cedar Square Shopping Centre, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. With a focus on early detection, the walk encourages participants to take proactive steps toward health while challenging stereotypes in a fun and meaningful way. The Men in Heels Walk-a-Thon sheds light on the reality that breast cancer doesn’t only affect women—1 in 700 men may also be diagnosed with the disease. Through education, community engagement, and bold visuals, the event seeks to break taboos and make cancer conversations more inclusive.
Cancer survivor David Lucas shared the critical role early detection played in his journey. Diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2011 during a routine blood test, Lucas now advocates for regular health screenings and open dialogue. “The event encourages men to wear skirts and high heels—not just for spectacle, but to challenge gender norms and support a vital cause,” Lucas said. “It’s about awareness, inclusivity, and making health a priority for everyone.”
This year’s event promises more than just a walk. Attendees can look forward to:
