<p>If you're worried whether exercising while trying to conceive is safe, here's some good news: getting into a workout routine and being healthy is a positive step to conception.</p>
<p><br />To improve your fitness and fertility, you may think that getting more exercise is one of the best things you can do. After all, exercise is essential for general health and wellbeing. But be careful not to overdo it, on the other side: some research shows that excessive and strenuous exercises can negatively affect fertility!</p>
<p><br />Obesity is also linked to a lack of exercise, and many studies show that obesity is further linked to fertility problems such as irregular menstruation, ovulation dysfunction, and a higher risk of poor obstetric outcomes.</p>
<p><br /><b>Start exercising</b></p>
<p>Exercise helps strengthen your posture and alleviates some common discomfort, such as backaches and fatigue. It will also assist in your post-labour goal of losing baby weight. There is evidence that regular exercise can help prevent gestational diabetes, relieve stress, and increase labour and childbirth endurance.</p>
<p><br />If you're having trouble conceiving due to polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) or being overweight, exercise may help. Speak to your OBGYN about your options for a conception-friendly exercise routine.</p>
<p><br /><b>Exercise your core</b><br />Your belly starts to grow, your breasts get bigger and your center of gravity changes, putting pressure on other areas of your body. You'll be less likely to have back pain later if you improve your abdominal and back muscles now.</p>
<p><br />When you have a strong core, you'll have better balance and posture, which are both important when you're pregnant.</p>
<p><br /><b>Cardio exercises</b><br />Running and walking are both excellent cardiovascular workouts, and neither needs any special equipment except a comfortable pair of sneakers. Walking is safe and recommended right up to delivery day.</p>
<p><br />Swimming is a low-impact workout that improves muscle tone while also providing excellent cardiovascular benefits. Swimming is especially beneficial for pregnant mothers because it helps you feel weightless and can help ease typical early pregnancy symptoms such as nausea and swelling.</p>
<p><br /><b>Barre, yoga or Pilates</b><br />If you're trying to conceive, barre, yoga, and Pilates are excellent exercises because they improve stamina, balance, endurance, and muscle tone. Yoga is generally used as a relaxation exercise - always good when attempting to conceive.</p>
<p><br /><b>Speak to your doctor</b><br />In general, maintaining pre-conception routines for improved overall health and wellbeing for you and your baby is a great idea. However, as everybody is different, your doctor may want to discuss your training patterns with you to ensure a safe and healthy pregnancy.</p>
<p><br /><b>Tips</b><br />• Gymnastics, downhill skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, and vigorous racket sports are examples of sports with a great chance of falling, risking abdominal injury.<br />• Sports that require a shift in altitude. Any task that requires you to climb dizzying heights should be avoided. Scuba diving should be off-limits due to the risk of decompression sickness for your baby.<br />• Extreme exercises. Doing intense core exercises while attempting to conceive can be quite risky. It may have a major impact on your hormones, potentially affecting your fertility.</p>
